A key legislative responsibility that Pastoralists may encounter is Incident reporting

Under the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act, it is a requirement to notify NT WorkSafe if certain incidents occur at the workplace.

These notifiable incidents include:

  • a dangerous incident
  • a serious injury or illness of the person, or
  • a death of a person

'Notifiable Incidents' are defined within the Work health and safety - Incident notification Bulletin pages 2-6

NT Worksafe recommend notification is done by the fastest possible means by calling 1800 019 115 and sending the form to:
