Primary Objective

This role is a key position within our organisation.

The Office Manager will provide administrative and operational support to the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Committee of the Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA) and associated trading entity Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Trading Company Pty Ltd (NTCT).

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain records and reporting in compliance with ASIC and NT Associations Act requirements
  • Bookkeeping for two entities using MYOB, including payroll, budgeting and financial reporting
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, Executive and NTCA members
  • Manage and undertake all administrative duties related to the day-to-day running of the Association
  • Provide administrative support for four staff based in Darwin, plus additional staff in the field and in Alice Springs
  • Oversee organisation of NTCA events, including annual conference
  • Assist with branch and executive meetings by managing all related bookings of meeting room, accommodation, and catering in a timely manner
  • Maintain & update databases, membership renewals and subscriptions
  • Work in conjunction with CEO to manage diary bookings and schedule meetings
  • Make bookings for local, interstate and international travel for staff and Board when required
  • Maintain and arrange servicing of office equipment

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Experience with MYOB, including payroll and job coding
  • Small business bookkeeping experience
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work unsupervised and manage time efficiently
  • Some event-coordination experience
  • Be able to work within a multicultural and diverse stakeholder environment
  • Pro-active self-starter
  • Current Australian residency
  • Current Aust. drivers license

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of NT cattle industry and membership base
