Project Manager / Snr Executive Assistant
The Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association (NTCA) is seeking applications for the position of Project Manager – Senior Executive Assistant, based in Darwin.
NTCA is one of Australia's foremost industry representative bodies with a respected and effective leadership role in the Australian cattle industry.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be expected to manage the effective delivery of NTCA projects as well as responding to core NTCA membership issues as required.
Key responsibilities, activities and duties
To manage effective delivery of the Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association Inc (NTCA) programs including the Pastoral Real Jobs Program, and the NTCA Indonesia Australia Pastoral Program
Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. Communicate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders in the delivery of projects at a local, national and international level both verbally and in writing
Provide program development, coordination, administration implementation and reporting.
Source and investigate additional project and funding opportunities, submit applications in consultation with NTCA CEO
Prepare high level reports as required, including statutory reporting for funding organisations, the CEO and the NTCA Board
Maintain strong business relationships with partners in a professional, accurate and informative manner
Provide research, development and advice to CEO and the NTCA Board on policy and member matters
Manage project staff in accordance with project outcomes
Provide guidance, support, mentoring advice to staff, participants and participant employers
Respond to core NTCA membership issues as required
Selection Criteria (Essential)
Strong industry and government contacts, able to develop effective, professional and long-term relationships
Proven high level communication and engagement skills
Proven experience in project management, with strong organisational skills, a team focus and outcomes driven
Ability to collect and collate data, analyse and present in a format that meets project monitoring and evaluation requirements and demonstrates the value of each project.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to develop networks and liaise with stakeholders and key agencies
Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in working effectively within a multi-cultural environment
Understanding of the NT pastoral industry, Indigenous and Indonesian culture
Ability to travel to remote areas within Australia and Indonesia for extended periods (2-3 weeks at a time)
Balance a range of competing priorities and projects in an environment of high workload, rigorous accountability, strict deadlines and high stakeholder expectations
Current drivers licence
