The National Landcare Awards are the highlight of Australia’s environmental calendar.
Now in their 16th year, they are about finding and recognising the achievements of those dedicated people – the nation’s Landcare Heroes – who give up their time to care for our precious land and water resources.
The National Landcare Awards aren’t just for landcare groups, either: they are for any individual, group, network or organisation who are deserving of applause for their work in tackling environmental issues from the ground up.
Throughout 2009, State and Territory Landcare Awards ceremonies will be held across Australia.
The winners from these awards will compete for the national title at the 2010 National Landcare Awards in Sydney.
The Awards campaign will be officially launched nation-wide in early May.
Landcare Australia is pleased to announce two new awards, as well as a People's Choice Award for each state!
