2010 AGM and Industry Conference

Don't miss the 2010 Annual General Meeting and Industry Conference on 25 and 26 March!

We hope you didn't miss the 2010 Annual General Meeting and Industry Conference in Darwin on 25 and 26 March!

The NTCA Annual Conference was highly anticipated by all members of the cattle industry. It is the foremost annual beef industry event in Northern Australia. The 2009 conference exceeded all expectations and was roundly judged as the best for a number of years.

In 2010, the NTCA conference was held on Friday, March 26, and attracted more than 400 people from the Northern Territory, Australia and overseas.

The conference covered cutting edge industry issues, markets and emerging opportunities in Asia, while exploring the role of future leaders and succession in the rural sector.

The Annual General Meeting

The NTCA Annual General Meeting was held on the afternoon of Thursday, March 25. This session comprised the formal reports from the President and Executive Director, as well as the passing of motions and voting in of new representatives.

The AGM was followed by the traditional 'Welcome Drinks', which is the official ‘kick off’ event for the conference and allows industry members, representatives and sponsors to meet properly for the first time during the event series.

The Ladies' Luncheon

The Ladies' Luncheon was also held on Thursday, March 25, and preceeded the AGM. This luncheon is an increasingly popular event and usually attracts more than 70 industry women. The event is used as an opportunity for outback women to meet up in a social atmosphere as well as hear from interesting speakers on topics not covered in the conference itself.

There are sponsorship opportunities available at the Ladies Luncheon that are separate to the conference.

The Annual NTCA Gala Dinner

The Annual NTCA Gala Dinner was the grand finale of the series of events, and is often the most popular occasion for industry members. The NTCA goes to great lengths to ensure that the evening goes off with a bang!

The occasion also provides a great opportunity for sponsors to meet members in a less formal and much more relaxed environment. In 2010, almost 500 guests attended the Gala Dinner.
