ABC Rural: Outback life: Five-year-old George's backyard is bigger than some European countries

You are here

Imagine having a backyard bigger than some European countries and more than six times the size of the Australian Capital Territory.

For five-year-old George Milne, Alexandria Station — the Northern Territory's largest cattle station — is home.

Alexandria is managed by his parents Tim and Ruth Milne.

Situated on the Barkly Tableland, and owned by the North Australia Pastoral Company, the station covers more than 1.9 million hectares.
