Mapping Services (Weather and Fire)

Bureau of Meteorology:
Water and the Land updates include more home page preview images including a link to a clickable national radar image.

Fire North:
Maps the location of burning bushfires in close to real time across north Australia. Also maps new "fire scars" or burnt country every week.

Savanna Map Maker:
View interactive maps of the vegetation of the tropical savannas, and of the Victoria River District. In this section you can view and create maps of the vegetation communities and land zones of the Australian tropical savannas and create maps of vegetation, soils and land use in the Victoria River District of the Northern Territory.

Weather and Climate Data:
Forecast issued by the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (model documentation) are presented as individual images, or grouped together in two formats: a set of six panels showing all fields for each 24 hour interval from 0 (analysis) to 144 hours, or a series of panels showing the evolution in time of a given field.
