Business Development Officer - Diversification

The Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association (NTCA) is seeking applications for the position of Business Development Officer, based in Darwin.

NTCA is one of Australia’s foremost industry representative bodies with a respected and effective leadership role in the Australian cattle industry.

Reporting to the CEO, you will be expected to work collaboratively with individual businesses and industry organisations to facilitate business improvement programs and government funding initiatives across the cattle, farming and seafood industries.  

You will be a strong communicator and enabler with a demonstrated knowledge of business development and commercial practices within the agribusiness sector, with a high level of understanding of NT primary industries and Indigenous culture.

Field Officer - Real Jobs Program

Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association (NTCA) is seeking applications for the position of Field Officer for the Real Jobs Program for an immediate start.

NTCA is one of Australia’s foremost industry representative bodies with a respected and effective leadership role in the Australian cattle industry.

The NTCA Real Jobs Program is a progressive and innovative employment program that engages, trains and supports young Indigenous people for employment in the Northern Territory pastoral industry. The NTCA operates the Real Jobs Program in partnership with the Indigenous Land Corporation (ILC).

Reporting to the Senior Field Officer and NTCA CEO, you will be expected to support the facilitation of Indigenous people into the pastoral industry’s workforce through the targeting of employment opportunities and the provision of training and support to Indigenous people in encouraging them into the workforce.

You will possess high level integrity, leadership, and communications skills; have a good understanding of the cattle industry, preferably with on-station experience and experience working with Indigenous people. You will work collaboratively with the Senior Field Officer and other NTCA staff to develop and implement the program’s strategic, operational, and training plans as well as assist in producing high quality reports on program performance.

This role will be based in either Katherine or Mataranka.
